— La Brecha
Summary in English of the Spanish concert report.
La Brecha wrote that Marc Sabbah, "the Paganini of the viola", won over the audience at one of the most important concerts of the Orquesta Filarmónica del Desierto's season. The first part featured Max Bruch's Romance for viola and orchestra and Hummel's Potpourri, with Astor Piazzolla's Libertango as an encore; after the interval the soloist conducted Dvořák's Serenade for strings.
The paper described him as one of the most talented symphonic violists in the world, whose impact on international stages has led European critics to call him "the Paganini of the viola", and noted that he had been principal violist of the Belgian National Orchestra.
