In the weekly segment Vrij Spel ("Free Play") on Jet Berkhout's Friday show, musicians are challenged to step away from the score and give a classical piece a personal twist.
- As a boy, Marc Sabbah took up the violin because his music school needed violinists, but envied the rich low notes of his sister's cello – and found the best of both worlds in the viola, while keeping his love for Bach's cello suites.
